Dr. Thomas P. Trevisani, Explaining Mommy makeover

Dr. Tom Trevisani explaining Tucks and Tightenings after weight loss

Loosing weight leads to sagging skin. We can tighten this these areas and improve the patient's appearance giving  a more slender and sleek body. Also, more perkier breasts.

Each of these lifted areas require an incision. Incisions result in a permanent scar. Therefore, the patient must accept the presence and permanence of the scar before choosing to proceed with the procedure.

Each patient who decides to have lifts and tightenings must be medically cleared and safe to proceed with the operation.

Every procedure has certain situations post operatively which must be managed.

The Best Plastic Surgeon

The Best Plastic Surgeons are: Board Certified-- and have extensive experience. To become Board Certified an individual must complete Medical School-- surgical residency---this usually requires approximately 8-9 years after college.

Then, the individual must then complete an additional 2-3 years of Plastic Surgery Training. This then creates an individual who is Board eligible. The next 2 years are spent fulfilling the case requirements which will allow the individual to be tested and hopefully become Board Certified.
Beyond Board Certification and just as important is experience. The only way a surgeon can get this experience is to be in private practice. It is similar to any other complex skill-- it requires doing it over and over again. The training creates an anatomic expert who now is qualified to perform these complex surgical procedures. So, make sure to ask your doctor how many of the procedures you are seeking he/she has performed.

Dr. Tom Trevisani - Experience

Following the achievement of Board Certification it is important if not crucial for the surgeon to have ---experience. What this does is allow the surgeon to become artistic in his performance of each and every operation. This allows the surgeon to approach "perfection" in his/her craft. There's no magic number to achieve the optimal experience. Each surgeon will reach his level at a different rate.
However, rhinoplasty(nose surgery) requires a special interest and an artistic eye for the best nose on that patient and the ability to achieve it anatomically.
