Following the achievement of Board Certification it is important if not crucial for the surgeon to have ---experience. What this does is allow the surgeon to become artistic in his performance of each and every operation. This allows the surgeon to approach "perfection" in his/her craft. There's no magic number to achieve the optimal experience. Each surgeon will reach his level at a different rate.
However, rhinoplasty(nose surgery) requires a special interest and an artistic eye for the best nose on that patient and the ability to achieve it anatomically.

I think that board certification is far more advisable for invasive surgical processes. Of course it's a free market and the choice is ultimately down to the consumer and if results are delivered that are deemed negligible then the consumer is within their rights to take legal action in that regard.
